The CD is the soundtrack for the albanian pavilon at the world exhibition
Expo 2000 Hannover, Germany. Like this pavilon the music reflects the
transition and the mixture of the past and the future.
Shqiperia (Albania) translated word by word means "land of eagles".
Albania is a spiritual place, a place of phantasy and mystic meaning.
The roads of albanian culture are based in the antique, in the illyrian
kingdom.
For albanians music is a kind of paradise, a spiritual place of refuge.
The albanian music is charming in the richness of its polyphony. It gives
the impression that it comes from far away, like a remote remembrance.
It's a human music because it's fed by the togetherness of everybody.
It's a sympathetic and spiritual music. This is also the nature of its
polyphony. In order to hear the others each player must play very gently.
Eda Zari descended from the musician dynasty Lela de Përmet , one
of the most famous and representative assemble of traditional Albanian
folklore. Eja translated word by word means "come". Eja is a
vocal instrumental blend, full of beauty, mystic meaning and fascinating
colors of the albanian polyphony.
